Songs That Motivated Me and Gave Me Strength

The Healing Power of Music: It Doesn’t Erase the Trauma, But Transforms the Journey

When I couldn’t talk about my trauma, music spoke to me.

Music has a unique power to bypass the thinking mind and speak directly to the heart—reaching places where trauma hides and healing begins. Whether through listening, singing, writing, or simply feeling the rhythm, music becomes a bridge between my pain and peace.

Healing isn’t about forgetting what happened. It’s about creating space for something new to grow. With every note, every beat, and every breath, music helps survivors reclaim their voice, their story, and their power.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Let music hold what’s too heavy to carry.
Let it remind you: there is beauty in shattering the silence.

Below are just some of the many songs that helped me transform my trauma. Maybe some will help in your healing journey as well. Enjoy.
